Training Class Schedule

Training classes are the best way we have fournd to give you a head start into the marketplace. Many of our students claim to be 1-2 years ahead in their carving and engraving abilities after taking just one class.  We have a great staff of teachers to choose from, all of them teaching different techniques.

Corporate Travel and Train Class

Taught by Dr. Lew. You will learn many different engraving techniques on glass, metal, wood and more. Dr. Lew's specialty is teaching people how to turn their hobby into a business. His business plan for the "want" world is very different from the traditional business plans in the "need" marketplace. You will leave this class with a great variety of projects to show potential customers and with the understanding of how to market you work effectively.

Basic Sandblasting

This is a one day class on using The ParaBlaster. Dr. Lew will take you step by step and entire project on sandblasting glass. You will learn how to prepare your artwork, develop the ParaBlaster Paper, and perform the sandblasting yourself. You will leave the class with a finished project to show future potential customers. We always offer this class the day after our Corporate Travel and Train class, it is very convenient to stay an extra day to learn all about micro sandblasting.

Advanced Gunstock Engraving taught by Master Wood Carver Craig Hone

This is a "Comprehensive Gunstock & Wildlife Carving" class. Four complete days of Gunstock carving. You will learn which projects to say "yes" to and why you should turn others down. You will also learn how to carve a wildlife design onto a practice gunstock butt. Keith Hone is a retired wood shop teacher with over thirty years of teaching experience. His knowledge of wood along with many years of studying art and animal anatomy shows in his carvings. You will not be disappointed.

This is a five-day class designed to teach "Carving in the Round".  3 Dimensional Carving.
Taught by Master Engraver Craig Hone.  Craig has won many awards in wood carving and has been teaching for many years now. His students leave his classes with the feeling that they received much more than they paid for.

Comprehensive Gunstock and Wildlife Carving

This is a four-day class designed to teach architectural carving in wood.  Taught by Master Engraver Craig Hone.

Gourd Carving Classes
